Everyone should own an insulated tote bag.  I keep one in my Big Bag of Bags that I take with me to grocery shop.  It's similar to the bag the delivery guy brings your pizzas in, but it has handles, the top zips closed and it's a whole lot bigger.  Today, I put a gallon of milk, a gallon of ice cream, a 5-gallon tub of rainbow sherbert, 2# of steak, 3# of ground beef, two packages of cheese and a box of popsicles in it, and there was room to spare!  Ice cream and sherbert were still rock solid when I got home and unloaded the groceries.  I bought the bag at Sam's Club about 2 months ago, and it might be the most useful thing I've ever purchased there (the 17 pound bag of peanut M&Ms not withstanding).

I'm a Suburban-driving, working mother of two and I find myself developing a stronger interest in taking care of our planet.  That's not to say that I'm converting to Treehuggerism, just that I want to do less harm.
