Turn off the water while brushing your teeth

You’ve heard it time and again, but the truth is that at least 40 percent of Americans still let the water run while they brush.

How to: Turn the water on for a second to wet your toothbrush. Keep it off while you’re brushing. Then turn the water back on for a few seconds to rinse your toothbrush after you’re done brushing.
