There are two kinds of at home music making: jammin and performing. They both have a place- joy can come from experiencing someone's expression, or taking part.
Singing together:
The biggest objection to not singing together is not knowing the words, and that's an easy one to fix. Thanks to the thousands of lyrics sites out there, making your own songbook is a breeze. While holiday songs are nice, it's fun to put in classic sing along favorites, too.
Instruments:
Put out a call for people to bring theirs along- drums, guitars, whatever they play- rattles and shakers for the little kids and the people who don't play anything yet.
Dancing:
Make space for everyone to move! Especially little ones!
Give yourself a gift- and SING LOUD!
