The At Home Kit is made up of resources to use when you're offline-- on the go, in the flow.
The kit has a few starting components, and we'll be adding more: for example, you can find a tracker for use with the family- a chore chart specifically designed for "green" behaviors. We've also created reminders to post around the house until your new habits become second nature- and a visible reminder to everyone that you're change your habits. More to come- calendars, pocket guides, and other things. Watch this space!
Use this GoGreen At-Home Tracker to monitor your green habits around the house. With this handy tracker you can record and reward your daily and weekly activities and track your progress as your family learns new healthy, green living habits.
GUIDELINES: Assign one or more family members to be a ‘tracker’ for one of the green living areas: Recycling,Composting, Energy Conservation, Water Conservation. The last area is one your family chooses each week.
Discuss with family members to determine what aspect your family would needs to focus on during any given week. At the end of the day, simply check the box to acknowledge the assignment has been tracked.
It’s simple and fun. Make notes of specific green actions such as posting GoGreen reminders or writing an green action letter.
Cut-out reminders to help you and your family become and stay green.
If you prefer to save paper, don\'t print it out. Simply view it on your computer and copy the cut-outs to old paper bags, scraps of paper, etc. and place around your house. You can even copy them to a chalk board or dry-erase board.
Make it fun for the kids! Have them help make cut-outs with various paper products and place around the house.
Sometimes it\'s hard to say something to a business owner- they\'re trying to make it like the rest of us. But when you see styrofoamd and other non compostable or recyclable products in use- it\'s all of our environment. There are inexpensive and green take-out materials out there! If you\'d like to help your fave restaurants green their takeout food- take along our letter- it\'s a thank you, request and resource in one piece of paper.
